Predictions are normally written before the event. Prophecies are written after the event and then back-dated so they can be sure to be right.

I've always been under the impression that a prediction is something that the 'average joe' thinks will happen and a prophecy is a prediction created by a person who has correctly predicted things in the past, so a Prophet.

I really hope 2012 isn't the end of the world! All of this talk reminds me of Y2K. I was in about 6th grade at the time and I was getting really nervous. I remember hearing about how aliens would come and all of that kind of thing. This is very interesting to me though. I'm going to do more research and see if I can get a better idea where all of this started. I mean, it had to have began somewhere. Why that year? Why that month? Hmm.. if you hear anything more, please let me know

Both prophecy and predictions, are found at the bottom of wine or whiskey bottles, the good ones are found with mind expanding drugs, but nobody can remember after they come down.
