I do not know for some reason my media center does not shows up DVD titles. I think it has not able to read the VobSub files and throws up the title on the media center screen. Which codec will I need to make this thing work. This problem arises same for .avi, mkv files. Some time when I open a DVD the thumbnail view on the main screen does not appear. It shows up some kind of unidentified icons. I had installed ffdshow with default settings. What proper codecs will I need to make the DVD menu work without any reading error. And will the same codec will work for Vista 64 bit version of Windows also.

I am planing to make my own Windows Media Center PC. I had collected all the equipments for the same. A good TV Tuner card with large LCD display. Xbox 360 gaming console, component video cable with a additional HD cable, Vista MCE, etc. I need some simple tips and tricks to create my own Media center with ease. What thing should be considered to avoid any flaws and errors. It is was for my personal use and the prime need will be games and movies. I had downloaded many updates and codec for the same also. Which is important one. I also want to connect my Media Center to my Digital TV service. So which is better way to get more channels and online service. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I always used Imgburn and for now I am facing problem when i try to burn I get this message:
Failed to lock volume for exclusive access
DeviceIoControl(FSCTL_LOCK_VOLUME) Failed! Reason: Access is denied.
DeviceIoControl(FSCTL_DISMOUNT_VOLUME) Failed!

Is there someone with proper solution.

Hi,
I am facing a severe problem in Windows Media Player. My Dell Laptop is running on Windows 7 with 1 gigs of RAM. When I go online in Windows Media player it freezes after playing a song or video. Then anyhow I need to restart the computer to get thing back properly. I have Internet Explorer as a default browser. The same problem is happen when I play any song from the website using Windows Media player. The problem most happens whe I switch to full screen mode while streaming a online video. I have recently bought Sony MP4 player which is working very fine and at the same time i having some video clips which are in .vid file support which is being stored on my computer. Most of the time i am out of my house and for my entertainment i would like to view those video on my Sony player but the issue is they don't support .vid files. Can someone tell me how to convert any .vid files to mp4 file.
